The 6th hall of the museum is called “Culture of Tokharistan in the Early middle Ages” and dates back to the IV-VIII cc A.D. In the early Middle Ages Surkhandarya region was submitted into the vast historical cultural region as Tokharistan, the name of Tohar people. This name had primarily been mentioned in 383 A.D… For the 6-7 th halls there is one portal and in the middle of it there represented a stone architectural décor found in Old Termez with epigraphic inscriptions meaning “Allah is the only one”. In the show-cases of the hall there represented articles of everyday home life as grain graters, spinning wheels and jugs. Remarkable monument of this period is considered a farmstead Bolaliktepa(in the outskirts of Angor), where a wonderful wall-painting with a scene of a fiest was discovered. Besides, that the adornments of women, silver coins of Ephtalits, wall-painting from Tavka fort in Sherobod District, two-humped camel from stone -salt and cotton dress of women attract the attention of visitors.
